The Vice President of Operations leadership role at Point West will drive innovation and access to resources for the membership; enhance branch services; and be deeply involved with project implementations which drive the strategic plan.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DEPARTMENT FUNCTIONS OVERVIEW:
A successful Vice President of Operations candidate will partner with the Executive Team and Board to strategize, develop and implement credit union initiatives in a manner. This includes proven and successful achievement of essential functions at both the strategic and department levels including but not limited to:
- Develops operations resources and personnel. Ensures effective coaching, training, and personal/team goals are established and monitored on a regular basis. Champions a strong service and education culture.
- Contributes creative ideas/resources and provides data analytics to drive engagement of the membership products and services, and to meet key initiatives of the strategic plan.
- Keeps abreast of changes in member product, service and technology usage trends. Knowledgeable regarding changing or emerging industry trends in member behaviors and seeks to maintain competitiveness in product design and delivery channels.
- Strong data analysis regarding staff processes and member engagement to effect swift and prudent adjustments which sustain and grow member relationships.
- Analyzes corporate financial statements to determine opportunities for the credit union while appropriately managing risk.
- Responsible for all escalated member situations of the credit union. Establishes approval authorities and processes which reduce artificial barriers and friction so staff may provide timely and quality member service while controlling risk.
- Ensures operational team goals to support lending are established, tracked and met through collaborative efforts and agreement between management.
- Collaborates with management to drive the growth and value of the cards and payments program.
- Collaborates with established business partners to ensure timely project implementation of products and services; and to ensure in-depth training for the operations team.
- Executes functional responsibilities in collaboration with the executive team and branch managers, regarding operational leadership coverage, team coaching, and operational decision-making.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or other relevant field required.
- A minimum five (5) years of continuous operational management experience in a financial institution required.
- Three years (3) senior management or VP experience required.
