Job Description
Musicians On Call (MOC) is a nonprofit organization that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare environments. The Program Coordinator is a full-time, non-exempt position responsible for overseeing MOC Bedside and hospital partnerships within a specific group of assigned markets (more below). Additionally, this position will lead and deliver specific volunteer recruitment, management and appreciation strategies that will support the volunteer cultivation efforts of all individual MOC markets.
The Program Coordinator will work with the Director of Programs, Senior Program Manager and Program Team to continue to evolve and strengthen the new technology-focused program delivery model of MOC. This position will report to the Sr. Program Manager and be based in Nashville, TN with a salary starting at $40,000-$45,000.
Program Management (in all assigned markets/facilities)
- Coordinate all aspects of MOC Bedside operations and hospital relationships in assigned markets, including:
- Nashville
- Memphis
- Murfreesboro
- Manage communication, scheduling, and overall experience of all new and existing market volunteers
- Oversee the training, onboarding and placement of new and existing market volunteers, including communicating all relevant program and hospital partner updates
- Establish and maintain a strong relationship with each market hospital partner, including organizing program schedules, hospital onboarding requirements, and assisting with logistics and documentation for regular and special programs
- Identify new ways to increase impact and elevate program experience for hospitals and patients
- Manage and regularly update all relevant program and volunteer data sources, including volunteer applications, program records, and shift statistics, through Salesforce and MOC’s program platform
- Provide data, program analysis and additional information to support fundraising team communications and proposals
Volunteer Recruitment and Cultivation
- Develop specific and actionable strategies to celebrate and cultivate MOC values and culture with all volunteers, nationally
- Coordinate additional volunteer involvement opportunities, including for special events and annual/seasonal initiatives
- Manage online and digital communications for prospective and current volunteers including
- Volunteer recruitment websites
- Volunteer Newsletter
- Screen all national volunteer applications for MOC Virtual and MOC Bedside for quality and suitability as they’re submitted
- Coordinate volunteer onboarding renewals and facilitate updates to the Learning Management System
- Track program feedback and testimonials and relay issues to leadership as they arise
Minimum Qualifications Required
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Disciplined self-starter who can set and achieve goals with a passion for and interest in learning more about the nonprofit world
- Enthusiasm for and familiarity with creating and building relationships with volunteers and/or external partners
- Ability to prioritize projects, meet deadlines, manage several projects simultaneously and work well under pressure
- Ability and willingness to travel overnight as needed
- Ability and comfort with working onsite at hospitals
- Computer literacy and knowledge of Google Workspace required; CRM familiarity preferred

Education/Training
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience within nonprofit, music industry, radio, healthcare, or related field(s)
- Experience in a healthcare setting, knowledge of HIPAA and infection control policies is preferred
